My Purpose as expressed by those with more eloquence than I

“I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain.”

- John Adams

"These are not the vapors of a melancholy mind, nor the effusions of envy, disappointed ambition, nor of a spirit of opposition to government, but the emanations of a hear that burns for its country's welfare. No one of any feeling, born and educated in this once happy country, can consider the numerous distresses, the gross indignities, the barbarous ignorance, the haughty usurpations, that we have reason to fear are meditating for ourselves, our children, our neighbors, in short, for all our countrymen and all their posterity, without the utmost agonies of hear and many tears."

-John Adams

"I do not stand here as advocate for any partisan cause, for the issues are fundamental and quite beyond the realm of partisan consideration. They must be resolved on the highest plane of national interest of our course is to prove sound and our future protected. I trust, therefore, that you will do me the justice of receiving that which I have to say as solely expressing the considered viewpoint of a fellow American. I address you with neither rancor nor bitterness...with but one purpose in mind - to serve my country."

-General Douglas MacArthur

Obama Sides with the Palestinians: Is this a surprise to anyone?

Obama has not done anything to defend America, let alone Israel since his presidency began. As I understand it, President Obama endorsing the Palestinians demand to have Palestine's borders return to how they were before the war in 1967 is not only going to undo the decades of the peace-process, but it will also leave Israel in a state where it is unable to defend itself. Basically, our President is abandoning its only ally in the Middle East, Israel, and siding with the Arabs and Muslims. Is America going to have any allies left? We definitely do not have any Arab/Muslim allies, and if anyone is naive enough to see Obama appeasement as anything but that; appeasement, which is asking for another terrorist attack and complete destruction of a defenseless Israel, then you are probably someone who voted for an unpatriotic, spineless Obama in the first place.

Anyone can see that the more concessions Obama makes to the radical Muslims in the Middle East, the more chaos, instability, and violence takes place, not to mention how it portrays America as a weak submissive nation that will back off like a dog with its tail between its legs. Obama has made sure to remove as much strength and respect from America's international image as he possibly can, and losing our one true ally in the Middle East, Israel, which seems to be the only country trying to prevent the whole region from exploding into a uncontrollable conflagration that can only result with the radical groups like the Muslim Brotherhood taking control, destroying Israel as they so strongly desire, and holding the U.S. hostage by cutting off our oil supply. We are in a precarious situation as it is, and Obama's speech further solidifies the fact that he is determined to continue weakening and hurting the country, along with its allies, instead of defending and protecting us like a true and honorable Commander and Chief.
